Summer, Sausages and Planets

This Friday instead of doing a WeLL What’s Your Story school event I spent a much needed day transcribing some of the handwritten stories into the manuscript that I will submit to the publishers to be copy edited and printed as the WeLL What’s Your Story anthology.  I have stories from 5 schools waiting to be transcribed (circa 400 stories),  and in this last session I finished one school’s stories and began on another.

I enjoy transcribing the stories because it brings back lovely memories of the day I spent at that particular school.  Transcribing also makes me smile because I notice that each school will have a particular theme running through their stories.  This transcribing session had three main themes – summer, sausages (yes, really) and planets.

The Well What’s Your Story anthology is going to take the readers on a wonderful journey through the creativeness of children’s minds, and I am very privileged to be able to share in this process with the students and their teachers.
