L is for Launch
Last year I worked as the Writer in Residence for Portsmouth Libraries. This year two books filled with stories written by the residents of Portsmouth during my writer in residence workshops (and Realand – a mid grade chapter book) have been published. These books will be distributed as a bundle to all participating schools and all nine public libraries in Portsmouth.
There will be three launch parties today (April 13th) to celebrate the official launch of these books and you are all welcome!
- 10.30 – 11.30am at Cosham Library
- 1-2pm at Fratton Carnegie Library
- 7-.30pm at Southsea Library
Congrats Dee! Bit too far for me to travel! But hope it goes well for you.
Thanks Wayne…3 in one day…what was I thinking when I agreed to this idea?
Have a fabulous day today Denyse!
Thanks Rebecca, it was a long day!
Congratulations, I hope you have a brilliant time.x
Thanks Debs, it was nice to watch people see their writing in print for the first time!
How great is that? Congratulations!
Thanks Jean, it was lovely to be able to facilitate people getting a piece of writing published.
Wow! Congratulations! That is very exciting! I hope you’re having a wonderful time.
Actually, I would think the Writer in Residence itself would be quite the experience.
Did you tell your friends that today, you would out to launch?
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Bears Noting
Hello Bear, I told my friends that I was a lady who launched! Being a writer in residence was an amazing experience though not problem free. There are some things I would do differently if I could.
I remember when you said you were about to start that residency. Doesn’t time fly. I’m so glad you’ve got something solid and rewarding to take away from the experience. Hope you had a great launch day too 🙂
