Team Honk (homegrown wings)
Running is my favourite exercise which is why I was very excited to hear that the Team Honk Relay for Sports Relief 2014 will be leaving from the Portsmouth Guildhall Square on Sunday morning starting about 9.30am .
I will be running with the baton for the first 5k out from Guildhall to Baffins Pond, and it would be lovely if some of you came along and cheered me on. Shout READING HONK and I guarantee you will make me smile! I might even give you a wave in return – if I can find the arm equivalent of spanx – otherwise I’ll just smile at you (probably with a wide open mouth because I’ll be breathing hard). What? I said running is my favourite exercise….. I didn’t claim to be toned and fit!
If you can’t be there on the day to show your support in person but like to donate to Sports Relief please follow this link to the Team Honk page and leave a READING HONK message along with your donation. I will add a love heart shape to my running shirt for each READING HONK labelled donation. The route map of my run is below.
For full details of the relay including other days and times please click here to visit the Team Honk post on Tales of a Twin Mum’s blog.
Thanks so much for supporting the Southampton to Worthing leg of the event! We really appreciate how the local people are coming together to help us organise this in such a short space of time. Our online donation page is http://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/southamptonteamhonk and we have a target to raise £500 – I hope we can smash it! And if you see Dee (or any of us) running or walking with the baton, please honk your horn for Team Honk! xx
Good Luck! Shout ‘Reading Honk’ for a special flap of your wings? X
Haha, Noodle! I may just do that 😉
Smashed it!
