These apple roses are super pretty and fairly easy to make (if you enjoy baking).
Make your standard pastry recipe for one crust
Slice one apple (skin on) paper thin using the flat blade side of your grater
Slice your pastry into 5 cm wide long rectangles
Spread thinly with dairy free butter, then dust with cinnamon and brown sugar
Lay your apple slices along the pastry rectangles so that the apple edges overlap each other and also lay half on / half off the top edge of the pastry.
Fold the bottom half of the pastry up towards the top and then roll the pastry from the short edge so the overall effect looks like a rose
Place each apple rose in a cupcake tin hole
Bake for 40 – 45 mins at 170
Cool completely then dust with icing sugar
