“Doing” a Doctorate – week 46 and 47
Work is a bit overwhelming at the moment so I am spending a lot of my non work time (evenings and weekends), actually working in order to try and get on top of it all. I’m not being very successful but I am just about keeping my head above water, and looking forward to December when my workload will go back to normal for a couple months.
I am currently in the freaking out phase of this assignment (number 4), rather than the getting words written phase. I need to get a move on though because the first draft has to be finished by mid Oct as it is due mid Nov.
I did get a lot of baking done (including creating a new vegan cake recipe) – the amount I bake always seems proportionate to the amount of stress I am under – I think differently while I bake. I also got the go ahead to go back to running which I am so pleased about as this means marathon training can begin, and it also means I have a way to work off all of this baking and some of the stress!
