“Doing” a Doctorate – week 12

Published on Friday 26th January 2018 by DJ Kirkby

I am in a limbo between finishing my first unit and the next one starting so no Doctorate related news. I went on a jaunt to London this week for the Nursing & Midwifery Genomics Round Table which started off with a 1.5 hour long delay due to multiple problems along the rail route. I also managed to get lost despite the fact that the meeting venue was directly across from the tube station exit. Welcome to my world of ridiculousness. However, I did arrive at the meeting venue 4 minutes before Lord Willis, and I didn’t once say (out loud) “What ‘chu talking ’bout Willis?” (a mental hangover from the TV series Different Strokes) so I am counting that as an epic win.

  • Crochet more
  • Cuddle new grandson as much as possible
  • Read just for the fun of it
  • Allow myself to get distracted by all things shiny and appreciate that for the future creativity and benefit it may add to my doctorate
