Today my little English family (plus a few of the boy’s friends) will celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving (a day early). It is important to take the time to be grateful for what we have, and that can be difficult in this increasingly busy and demanding life. Thanksgiving Day gives us an opportunity to stop, reflect and be thankful. Oh, and to eat all of the food… so this next bit is for all you foodies out there who love to see our Thanksgiving menu – this year we will be eating:
Starter: pumpkin soup and sourdough bread
Mains: turkey and salmon plus lots of veg
Desserts: salted caramel brookie, plum crumble and lemon meringue pie
I’ll post some photos later if the food lasts long enough for me to take some pictures…and quite possibly the recipe for the salted caramel brookie too.
